I am an undergraduate student studying applied/computational math and computer science at Caltech in Pasadena, CA. I'm interested in machine learning, systems programming, and startups, and when I'm not working on these things I hope to be running, hiking, or attending a music festival.

I've done internships on the frontend team of Mixpanel and working on fraud detection at Sift Science. I spent a summer researching deep learning with the LISA group at the University of Montreal, and while there I implemented generative stochastic networks for pylearn2, an open source deep learning library. I'm looking forward to spending the summer of 2014 working on the Google Brain team in Mountain View, CA.
